Mad Mex blazes into Dubbo next month when it opens at Orana Mall on Friday 2 September. A full bar and all the Mad Mex favourites are on offer. Dubbo locals can throw back a margarita or cerveza with their favourite burrito or taco in hand.
The team behind the new store are Dubbo locals Di Zhou and Stephen Dai. The franchising duo are equipped with years of hospitality experience and local know-how. After 14 years of working at Chinese takeaway restaurant Wok ‘n’ Roll, Dai is passionate about joining the Mad Mex family.
“This is the first Mad Mex with a bar so I can’t wait to serve my mates the best burritos and beers on a Friday night. Dubbo doesn’t offer many options for casual drinks so I’m confident the community will embrace Mad Mex’s fun and young atmosphere,” he Dai.
Dai’s passion for Mad Mex was ignited after his first visit to a Mad Mex store. He recalls his first Mad Mex experience saying, “I fell in love with the atmosphere, the people and most importantly the food. Now I just can’t go past a Mad Mex without grabbing a grande melt with extra cheese.
The fresh Mexican grill offers Mexican classics such as tacos and nachos with a Baja-Californian influence. Mad Mex sources its ingredients locally and directly from Mexico to deliver its unique twist. Each store prepares its ingredients daily, from guacamole to slow-cooked and grilled meats.
Mad Mex amigos can customise meals to suit their personal tastes and dietary requirements. For the ultimate Mexican experience, amigos can grab a red foil-wrapped burrito packed with brown rice, meat, cheese and pico de gallo. The colourful ensalada fresca drizzled with Mad Mex’s signature chipotle lime vinaigrette provides customers with a lighter option.
At the bar, grab a ‘Margo’ house margarita or coconut mojito for a tropical touch. For an extra kick, wash down your burrito with the The ‘El Santo’ margarita with a chilli and lime salted rim.
