The Task
Get media and influencers talking about Bing’s Bao and Beer around its launch. Bing’s is Lotus Dining Group’s bao haven at Barangaroo, serving casual dine-in and takeaway food. 

The Tonic
Tonic began media engagement by targeting high priority journalists with tailored pitches including interviews, recipes, trends, and design in the lead up to launch.

Having media experience the food and atmosphere was key to prompting coverage and building advocacy.

Therefore, we hosted 15 media and influencers at Bing’s Bao and Beer individual over two months. This ensured they received a personal experience and that media coverage was ongoing rather than in one burst.

The Proof
Tonic secured 23 targeted media stories across print, broadcast and online around the launch.

These included stories in SMH – Good Food, Jetstar Magazine, Broadsheet, Delicious.com.au, 2GB Chris Smith Show, 2UE Talking Lifestyle and Eat Drink Play.

In addition to this, Tonic achieved 34 social media posts with a combined potential reach of 947,600.
