July will mark the end of an era as The Streets of Barangaroo says goodbye to the hugely popular Wulugul Pop Up to make way for an exciting permanent line-up of world-class restaurants along the harbourfront.

Over the past eight months, thousands of visitors have sipped, slurped and devoured Sydney’s hottest food operators including Belles Hot Chicken, Gin & It, Chaco Bar, Mamak, Edition Coffee Roasters and BrodDogs. It’s only fitting that Wulugul Pop Up gets a proper farewell so from Monday 18 through to Friday 22 July enjoy daily live performances courtesy of indie soloist Aaliyah Marie, vocalist Matt Boylan, electronic act Fernando Aragones and funk and soul trio Stef, Cam & Ron.

As Sydney waves goodbye to the pop-up, preparations begin for the arrival of Sydney’s newest waterfront dining promenade, Wulugul Walk. From September, the harbourfront will feature 12 impressive restaurants with high profile chefs and restauranteurs such as Brent Savage, Nick Hildebrandt, Hamish Ingham and Kerby Craig joining Somer Sivrioglu at Anason which opened in February.

Wulugul Walk will be Sydney’s hottest new food and drink destination. A curated melting pot for flavours inspired from around world, Wulugul Walk will include Spanish at Tapavino, Thai at Muum Maam, Chinese at Lotus and Japanese at Ume Burger to name just a few. Belles Hot Chicken cult followers can still get their fried chicken fix as the firm favourite will return to Wulugul Walk permanently in September.

Feeling lost without Wulugul Pop Up? The Streets of Barangaroo is already brimming with cafes and dining with so much more to come. Wake up with a caffeine hit from more than a dozen coffee haunts including Micro by Coffee Alchemy or The Precinct by Toby’s Estate’s; pick up lunch from one of the 10 delicious food outlets at The Canteen; snack on a Shortstop donut; relax with a tea at The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar; or shake off the week with a glass of wine and some Turkish meze at Anason.
