Spend Mother’s Day on Sydney’s harbourfront with a Turkish lunch at Anason. There’s a five-course set menu that includes scampi with fava beans, pickled grapes and saffron; and dolma with duck, tarhana, mint. Dessert is sarma: a moreish baklava roll with muhallebi and hazelnut ice cream. If you’ve never tried Turkish wine before, you’re missing out. Anason will match all five courses with incredibly well-structured Turkish wines.

Madame Shanghai
New Darlinghurst eatery and bar, Madame Shanghai hosts its very first “mum-cha” this Mother’s Day. Feast on Shanghai street food including grilled chicken thigh meatballs with pineapple sambal; and crumbed chicken katsu gua bao with siracha mayo. Mums enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling on arrival and are treated to a decadent dessert to finish. The Mumma’s Pride dessert is a decadent hazelnut parfait, raspberry and hibiscus sorbet, rose glaze and rose petals.
