Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill is a premier partner of the Perth Glory Football Club after inking a three-year deal. The partnership complements the brand’s focus on delivering fresh, tasty and authentic Mexican flavours while providing customers with a healthy alternative to traditional fast food. This is the first football partnership for Mad Mex which is bolstering its Western Australian presence.
Perth Glory’s strong following in Western Australia and the fanatical soccer culture in their spiritual homeland of Mexico attracted the growing food retailer to partner with the club. “Football is a religion in Mexico, so it makes perfect sense to partner with one of the A-League’s longest-serving clubs” says Sarah Hendry, National Marketing Manager, Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill. “We are Mad for freshness and flavour, and we are certainly Mad for Glory. We believe burrito power will propel the Glory to take home some silverware this season.”
Knowing that Mad Mex is nutritious and uses high quality ingredients prepared fresh in-house daily was a winner for Perth Glory. Perth Glory FC Chief Operations Officer, Anthony Radich, says he is delighted to welcome Mad Mex on board as a partner for 2016 and beyond.
“Mad Mex is a brand that is growing fast and one that exudes a lot of fun. It’s important to us that Mad Mex offers a healthier food offering and an authentic, quality product. Like us, Mad Mex is very keen on ensuring all fans and customers have a wonderful experience and it’s great to be working with like-minded people. We’re really excited to welcome Mad Mex to the Perth Glory “familia”, says Radich.
The partnership includes the Mad Mex logo on Perth Glory FC players’ shorts, VIP member events and offers, stadium signage, player appearances and game days. In line with the brand’s irreverent personality, at all Perth Glory home games, the Mad Mex Oblivious Fan Cam will surf the crowd for unsuspecting spectators with a timer to see how long it takes for them to notice.
With a network of 70 restaurants across Australia and New Zealand, Mad Mex has big plans to continue growth in 2016/17 including within Western Australia where the brand already has seven restaurants. Mad Mex Baldivis and Joondalup franchisee Jason Roberts says, “This partnership is an awesome opportunity to deliver the Mad Mex experience to even more amigos in WA.”
The sponsorship is a valuable addition to Mad Mex’s portfolio of sporting partnerships which also includes the Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL team.
