A collection of cutting-edge fashion and lifestyle stores are now open at Sydney’s newest neighbourhood, The Streets of Barangaroo. Old-school craftsmanship and modern style combine with the array of buzzing eateries, bars, and cafes to create a village-esque destination unlike any other in Sydney.
Just a six-minute walk from Sydney’s CBD, visitors can now discover specialty local and international designers, tailoring, and unique gifts among the pedestrian-only streets, laneways and harbourfront of The Streets of Barangaroo. Pop in between mid-week meetings or spend a weekend indulging in the full experience: morning coffee, hair make-over, spot of shopping and lunch on the harbourfront.
The Standard Store is the latest retailer to open, joining The Waiting Room, Collector Store, Shirt Bar, Blown Lux, Optique and the world’s first-ever David Jones boutique concept. TITLE Music Film Books, BELANCÉ and others land between now and spring.
Husband and wife team Nicola and Orlando Reindorf are behind the tightly curated collection of sought-after labels, accessories and lifestyle must-haves at The Standard Store. Buying trips several times a year to Europe, Scandinavia and the US ensure the store is edited to reflect the individual fingerprint of The Streets of Barangaroo. This is one of the only Australian retailers to range Sessun brand from Marseilles; as well as Dutch house Humanoid; YMC; Folk; Sunspel; Universal Works; and Bellerose.
Originally from Melbourne, The Waiting Room stocks a balanced list of Scandinavian, European, American and local fashion and accessories. Find labels such as Royal Republiq, Samsøe & Samsøe, Reliquia Jewellery, as well as the first range releases of Trois Petit Points Rivsalt and HappySweedes.
Collector Store combines fashion and home at its store on The Streets of Barangaroo. It ranges an edited collection of must-have fashion for both men and women from brands such as CustomMade, Baum Pferdgarten, Romance Was Born, Scotch and Soda and American Vintage. There’s also homewares and gifts from seriously chic cushions to candles and essential beauty and spa.
Shirt Bar successfully pairs perfect-fitting business shirts with coffee and dark spirits. This is the second location for the quirky concept, which opened in Sydney’s Sussex Lane in 2011. Here, the food is more of a focus serving breakfast, lunch and bar snacks alongside tailoring and 150 whiskies. The watering-hole-shirt-store hybrid stocks brands such as Ganton, Jensen, and exclusive women’s label Louka + Sabina. Design your ideal shirt from scratch with a whisky or wine in hand for the ultimate tailor-made experience.

The team of expertly-trained stylists can create your next signature look while you sip on a glass of sparkling.
