In early 2018, the Instagram algorithm incorporated changes based on user interactions and engagement, determining how images would be ranked in user feeds. The platform is favouring friends and family content over businesses, so we’ve had to find ways to keep content at the top of follower’s feeds. We have some handy hints below that can help you keep up!

USE INSTAGRAM STORIES

Try the NEW ‘ask me a question’ feature or the ‘poll’ feature. Using the Instagram Stories feature can keep your brand at the forefront of your follower’s minds. The more people interact with your brand the more likely your posts will show up in their feed.

 

POST ENGAGING CAPTIONS

Try a call to action or ask your followers for their input. These can be a ‘tag a friend who wants this’ ‘tag and win’ or ‘what should we call our newest item?’. Engage directly with your followers.

 

POST AT ACTIVE TIMES

Simple but essential, check when your followers are most active on Instagram. You can test what works for your page by posting at these peak times on different days.

INCORPORATE CAMPAIGN ADS
